All electricians (including apprentices) in the state of South Dakota are required to have sixteen (16) hours of continuing education to renew a license every even year, eight (8) of which must be on the code changes. The remaining eight (8) may be non-code.*Please note: only 8 hours per year can be online courses. The other 8 must be classroom courses.
