Meet the Team
Karen Jones
Global Education & Training Manager
Prior to joining A-dec’s training team in 2015, Karen worked at Portland Community College in a variety of capacities; teaching part-time in the ABE/GED and College Success and Career Guidance programs, partnering with career and technical education programs at the high school and college levels, and directing the academics and operation of the PCC Newberg campus. Karen has a Master’s degree in Adult Education from Oregon State University and is a lifelong learner.
Thaddeus Tsohantaridis
Sales Curriculum Developer & Trainer
Thad joined the Sales &Technical Training team at A-dec in 2015. In this capacity, he has conducted training on four continents, as well as onsite in Newberg. As a trainer, Thad strives to equip dental professionals with the knowledge and skills they need to excel in their careers. Whether in-person or online, he seeks to create learning opportunities that are engaging and applicable. Thad previously taught high-school, college-age, and adult learners and has a Master’s degree from Portland State University.
Marc Johnson
Sr. Sales & Technical Trainer
Marc is a Senior Sales and Technical Trainer in A-dec’s Global Training Department. He joined the A-dec family in 2019. His primary responsibilities include content creation and technical service and installation training on A-dec dental equipment, which is delivered in-house, online and in the field. Marc brings 31 years of dental industry experience. His career began in the US Navy as dental technician serving 11 years. Following his service, he worked for both dental manufacturing and dental distribution companies providing training, product development, technical support, service and installations. Marc strives to share his knowledge and expertise with colleagues and dental dealer partners to facilitate growth and success.
Michael Rathkey
Sales & Technical Trainer
Michael joined the Global Sales and Technical Training team at A-dec in 2020. Michael started his career in the dental industry in 2014 providing technical support to service technicians and dental practitioners. While working as technical support, he was also given the opportunity to support other departments by evaluating returned product for defects and recommending product improvements. Additionally he developed and conducted technical training, both internally and externally, and supervised the Customer Service team. Michael has a deep technical understanding of the products he supports and enjoys imparting this knowledge to others.
